As the project came out of the ground Raymond had to sequence activities to simultaneously frame, hang and apply EIFS plaster to exterior soffits, while interior framing and finishes were put in place. The new tower was built exactly perpendicular to the existing tower to allow connecting wings at every floor to ensure a continuous hallway throughout both towers.Įach floor connection had to be designed with detailed expansion joints to satisfy stringent seismic and drift allowances. All embedments had to be coordinated around these post-tension cables to avoid any structural deficiencies. The tower is a concrete structure with multiple columns, shear walls, and post-tension slabs. The expansion included a brand new 21-story tower with 403 new rooms. Harrah’s Rincon Expansion Phase 7 was a 160-million dollar project to expand the existing and growing Harrah’s Rincon hotel resort facility.
